Good gardeners understand something profound: Growth cannot be forced. They do not pull on plants to make them grow faster. Instead, they prepare the soil. They provide light, water, and protection. Occasionally, they prune with care. Above all, they recognize a fundamental truth: They cannot create growth. They can only cultivate the conditions that allow growth to happen.
Perhaps leadership is not so different.
